Law enforcement officials in Virginia are investigating a shooting at a Coast Guard recruiting office that has similarities to four other recent shooting incidents at military buildings in the area.
Authorities in the city of Woodbridge said employees at the recruiting office reported broken glass and other minor damage as they arrived for work Tuesday morning. No one was injured in the incident.
Officials say they are examining evidence to see if there are any links to recent shootings at the Pentagon, a Marine recruiting station in the Virginia town of Chantilly and two separate incidents at the National Marine Corps Museum, about 50 kilometers south of Washington, D.C.
The FBI has linked the Pentagon and museum shootings to a single weapon.
No injuries were reported at any of the incidents. All the shootings occurred either overnight or in early morning hours.
