Pope to Visit Benin in 2011

Pope Benedict will visit Benin next year.

Vatican officials say the pope will visit the West African nation for three days in November to mark the 150th anniversary of the Roman Catholic Church’s evangelization of Benin.

Pope Benedict made his first visit to Africa in 2009, traveling to Cameroon and Angola.

Next year the pope is also scheduled to visit Croatia in June, Spain in August and his homeland Germany in September.
