Asian stock markets were mostly lower in trading Monday.
Tokyo's Nikkei index fell one and two-tenths percent , to close at 10,238.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell seven-tenths of a percent , to end at 23,447.
Elsewhere, share prices were lower in Sydney, Wellington and Manila. Markets rose in Shanghai and Taipei.
The dollar was selling at 81.99 yen in currency trading, down more than one-tenth yen from late Friday.
